if men in general would learn to just be confident in themselves in all that they have to offer, or just learn to become a better person rather then feeling they have to try and over-power someone to bring confidence to themselves….i think this sociey as a whole would be better off.

white men, black men, asian men, indian men all have egos that have caused lives, ruined lands and corrupted the well being of all.

MOST Black men do like light skinned women. But you need to think of it this way. There has to be a FAVORITE. Lets just say everything was reversed and Black men liked fat, dark-skinned women instead of light, skinny women. There is always a minority and a majority in society. it’s going to be a long time berore dark women are put into music videos because it is not popular.

To Cierra, my sister as a black man i feel so blessed to have such a flower garden to have choosen from. A garden that no other men other than black men, have choice of skin color in their women to choose from. My Mother used to tell me, the blacker the berry the sweeter the juice, because of that fact i’m hooked on black women. There are no women on the planet as beautiful as black women and there is no one black woman that can claim to be the most beautiful of those beauties. So!, any brother that thinks that a light skin sister is finer or better that a darker skin sister is not a black man at all, he is a man seeing white and hair color as beauty. Ask yourself the question, who is trying to copy your features and bodyshape from your lips to your ass! In closing, you as black women never had to have breast implants, because weather you were large,medium or small breasted, they stood out pointed and firm.

Colors and hues are innocent and should stay that way. You see compatibility and harmony in regards to color in all living things (minu human beings) and even in non living things. That being said, human beings, due to their superior ability to do so, have taken advantage of each other by labeling thus controling each other. Prominently, so-called white people have intigated and taken on this disgraceful and deadly program of color coding. They have even termed their own category, white supremacy, as they continue to invade, slaughter and take control of land, resources and most precious of all, human beings.

But this blatant disregard for humanity will not fly forever because this system of wannabe white supremacy is losing ground rapidly as so-called white skinned people are literally disappearing in numbers from the Planet.

Without losing one ounce of uniqueness, we must abandon using color and hues to label human beings. And as the great and spiritual and power land we call Africa is the cradle of civilization, we thus are all African, despite the way we look.

The terms “black skin” and “white skin” are worse than useless scientifically because they are gross over-generalizations to the point of describing something that doesn’t even exist in nature. So, any poll, for example, that asks people what they think of “Black” and “white” people will necessarily obscure as much information as it uncovers. The difference between “beige” and burnt sienna (my skin color) is sociologically important, just as this diarist points out.

Our insistence on using the words “black” and “white” in empirical discussions is a like an oceanographer measuring the tides with yardstick that didn’t include inches or centimers, only yards. How much useful information would that bring and how much more would necessarily be lost, even while the oceanographer diligently made daily measurements?

In these times, caucasions are pushing for Comprehensive Immagration reform, due to a white-man born into a rich-white family with a mexican nanny. This is the same white man who was taught all of his life by a lady named Bararra (who said durring an interview that the Katrina victoms will be “just fine!” in the astrodome) to be scared of black people. And he is, very scared of black people. Since we have a commander and Chief of the United States that is “Negro-Phobic”. This explains why African-Americans have the highest incarceration rate under George W. than any of his predicessors. The highest highschool drop out rate under Bush, the highest poverty rate under Bush, and to make matters worse, we are confronted with extermination, and ethnic cleansing, via Katrina, and a guest worker program which allows corporations to employ illeagal immagrants for cheap wages, and refuse to hire African-American workers for a fair and honest wage, and honest benifits. This is good news for the richest white suburban CEO who drives their gas guzzling S.U.Vs. to their sucluded white neighborhood. But the worse news for those who really need those American jobs. So as for Ron Wimbish, I doubt if he actually went into a white suburban neighborhood and a white church, and see how many friends we he make. These white folks on November 2nd, 2004 sent us a clear message . “If you’re white, you’re right, and if you’re black, step the hell back!” I dare Ron Wimbish to befriend those people.

Most Cacausions are more intelligent than that! Skin tone or color does not matter to them if the book inside the cover is well read.

Whites have no problem at all sitting at the round table with Intelligent,& fluent English speaking Africans not matter how black they appear.

The steotyping can be broken if the dark people would change it through education.

Not just one plus one =2.

But in their mannerisms.

Who do you know dressed in a tucedo wants to be anywhere near a loud talking black person, or any other color person for that matter? One who has no respect for himself and certainly nobody else.

One who uses profane language in every sentence or paragraph the exudes from his mouth.

Of course a white man would rather hire a black woman than a black man.

A black man would rather hire a black woman before hiring a black man.

If nothing else it is the sexual attraction, not the color.

A white wealthy Texas businessmen have no problem at all having dinner with the blackest educated businessman in the world.

In business there are no color barriers. It’s just business…

Black people segragate themselves.

i think prejudice is common. I don’t see it where I work. Maybe its because the work is dangerous and we have to rely on each other. Not everyone judges based on skin color, but it’d be disingenuous to say there is no problem. I think people that carry themselves with dignity can expect to be treated that way. Good post…i’m off to take your test…see if i’m a closet bigot
