Yea, I posted this video in my blog: http://blackwomenineurope.blogspot.com/2007/07/european-racism.html in July. I also posted it in my Squiddo lens: http://www.squidoo.com/blackwomenineurope underneath a video of Jackie Robinson’s fierce stuggle with racism when he integrated baseball all those years ago. As much as things change, they stay the same.
”they stay the same” — you nailed it. by the way, i tried to join the online community that you sent me an invite to but i think my net just keeps playing up.
Aulelia, give me your email: adrianne.r.george(at)gmail and I’ll try to send you an invitation. That way all you have to do is accept! I want you there!
Wow, I never knew about this. Thanks for posting.
I heard the commentator say that it is not a soccer players responsibility to have take on race when playing his favorite sport.
Times may have changed, laws my have changed, but hearts haven’t changed.
I say it is our responsibility in all aspects of life to challenge racism.
We cannot escape racism. We might not be able to defeat racism but we have to make sure they respect us.
Intermarriage wont save us. Being professional, degreed, and well to do can’t save us.
Those things did not save the jews of Nazi germany who were white so class or whatever you think you are wont save you should the country turn diabolically racist now.
As a matter of fact we have our best chance at survival when we our together.
Those in the hinterland and the outer burbs can be easily picked off.
We need to have a black spiritual awakening. The only people who can truly love us with no conditions when the heat is on is ourselves.
The only thing necessary for evil to rise, is for us to do nothing.
