It was a beautiful thing that happened in Vienna last week. Black European Women from 16 EU countries and Switzerland decended upon Vienna with the goal of lifting the veil of invisibility that shrouds us and, in the Year of Equal Opportunities for All in the EU, creating a platform from which our needs will be addressed.
We debated, laughed, cried, hugged, sang and danced our way to forming a new union of sisters across Europe. And we didn’t go unnoticed. We recieved international press coverage, in a positive light.
