Agree, more and more passionate! Nothing like reliving history when there is so much to today and in the future. Great post, but its a familiar tome. I guess I keep trying to move forward while posts like this, and the people who write them keep wanting to drag me back! How about some positive messages for a change. Doom and gloom, rehashing the past, I'm a modern man in a modern world...sheesh, pull your head out!!

There will always be racists, just use them as stepping stones and you move on. Or, as you seem to want, sit around and write dark historical monotone narratives.

Now I'm quite sure you and the blog will confuse my comments, twist my words, call me an uncle tom. Fine.

But while you are doing that, can someone PLEASE point me to a blog where its a positive, enriching discussion of our issues? PLLLLEEAAASSSEEE

Asa, each time I read one of your post it seems more and more passionate. The power of your words are so true especially the lesson of your Granny"“If you get in the mud to fight with a swine, you will end up looking and smelling like a swine”. Something very similar to what my mother would say!
