Like you I don’t wanna hear anyone talking junk about the Raiders. I can say they suck… other citizens of the Raider Nation can say they suck… but anyone else is taking a huge risk saying it.

You are correct in your analysis of what else they need to do, in order to return to the glory days where they dominated the league.

First, let me say, I am originally from San Diego, CA. Living in San Diego as a Raider fan, of course, was hell!! I was the Silver and Black sheep of my family and friends, surrounded by a sea of Charger blue. Even when the Chargers sucked eternal, you could best believe they would play the Raiders until the death even if that was one of the few games they won for the season.
Now, I have pretty much given up on the NFL in general, but I too, suffer from the after affects of being sprung on the Silver and Black, a Raider junkie! I just can’t give up the Raiders. Even if I don’t watch a game, some Charger fool back home will call me, or even here in Atlanta some awful Falcon fan, will remind me the Raiders lost, AGAIN!!! And, you know what? I immediately go into defense mode.
Simply put, the Raiders have to give up the nice guy image. The clean and sober Raiders will never win a championship again. They have to return to the team that was, at one point in NFL history, the winningest team in the NFL. At the same time they were the team the racked up the most negative penalty yardage in the league. When that happens, along with the other things you mentioned come to pass, maybe, just maybe, they will once again become the Raiders that dominated the leagues!
