My mother was born in Portugal & raised in Hawaii. She worked as a servant-maid from 8 years old to 21 when she married. She became a naturalized citizen and faced much discrimination. She loved this country and would sing God Bless America, even when she was blind and in a wheel chair. I pray for the black community to put God first in their lives and ask him for wisdom. As a Dem I started questioning who were the people who gave us abortion and who are trying to get gay marriage legal & more. Who wants God out of our country? I wish all Americans would ask themselves this question. My son said to me one day, “thousands of people died fighting to free the slaves and Abraham Lincoln wasn’t a Democrat.” I pray God will give us good people in our government, who cares about color. The economy. New jobless claims have gone DOWN EVERY MONTH since Obama took the Oath of Office. Cash for Clunkers, giving billions to individual states, extending unemployment coverage, tax breaks for home-buyers; all these have been wildly successful.
Dithering on Afghanistan? The original plan was to support the Afghan government. Then they had that disastrous election. Now we need to re-think what our mission is. We’ll send more troops, the question is, TO DO WHAT???
