Hathor, I could not agree with you any more. Yesterday one of my colleagues, a young white woman told me that she was so "OFFENDED" that the Republicans felt she(she meant many white women) would endorse the McCain/Palin ticket just because Palin was a woman.
Most people were able to see the big joke presented with the McCain/Palin.

And to think that Palin feels she is presidential material is plain hilarious. She is as dumb as dirt. She and the folks who are pushing her are in for a rude awakening.

It is about time that many people get into their heads that America and the world are changing. There are a whole bunch of thinking and sophisticated people out there today, more than the "fronterizos"(provincial folks) can reckon.

Un cordial saludo,
Ana

All I can say if that what you think about Palin, God help our democracy if McCain had won and died, you would be still in Canada.
There is nothing rouge about her and most of her critics didn't give a sh*t what the MSM thought of her. First as a woman who has a child, her heroic effort having that baby didn't fly with me, not impressed, sounded to fishy for me. Not interested in having a theocracy. It was enough stealth religious policy during the Bush years. Every negro is not an Evangelical Christian or Muslim. Consorting with ministers who endorse making accusing children of witch craft which gets them killed or put on the street is by far a worse association than with Jeremiah Wright. Reading the way the conservative and libertarian bloggers were slobbering at the mouth in a very misogynistic way, calling her brilliant because they were thinking with the wrong organ and she mouthed the support of the 2nd Amendment. I did not want her to represent me in any way, and at that time John McCain looked sickly to me.

Late night host was wrong, but her pregnant daughter was also 17 and not 11. I also technically could called her a whore more so than an 11year old without a baby. The Obama's daughters were called worst on blogs than anything ever said about Palin's daughters. You don't get out much, do you.
